The wheelchair ramp, "it's a life changer; much easier getting her in and out - doesn't take as many people now."
My mother “is able to get in and out of the house by herself, she is able to get her mail by herself” and describes the ramp as being the start to regain her independence back.
“They are great. I’m glad I got them. I can go up and down real good now. I have something to hold onto and it helps me a lot.”
“I don’t know how we come to do without it (the ramp). It’s worth the wait. We appreciate it so very much. We wouldn’t be able to get in and out without it, or get our groceries. We are slower now than before and everytime we get into the house, we praise CASA for all that they did for us.” She also stated that the volunteers that put in the grabbars and worked on the ramp were some of the nicest people they have ever met.
