No Stopping the Blitz!
The blitz kicks off with pre-building in our CASA Warehouse. Volunteers spent more than 75 hours in the CASA warehouse, preparing the ramp materials for teams to use for the on-site builds during the blitz.
A great group of volunteers from Publix were a part of that effort in getting materials ready for the builds in December.
Our 2020 Ramp Blitz Sponsor, Lockheed Martin, made sure we had the needed funds to purchase materials. Additional donations came from many other donors to help with our budget strain due to the unexpected increase in material costs.
With the help of 145 volunteers investing more than 500 hours, 13 wheelchair ramps were installed during December for our 2020 Wheelchair Ramp Blitz. Our ramp teams were also able to repair two existing CASA wheelchair ramps during the blitz. Clients were excited to have the volunteers show up and do such incredible work. We hear from our clients about our wonderful teams of volunteers and how much they appreciate their kindness. One family member even posted on our Facebook page saying: “There are no words to say how much this ramp means to our family especially to my sister Angela GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!!!!!!!”
