Synovus Delivers Lunch to Seniors

Wednesday, April 29th, 2020 - Synovus Bank is partnering with CASA of Madison County to deliver lunch boxes from Atlanta Bread Company to 40 CASA clients.  While CASA of Madison County has been working diligently to help keep their clients safe during the COVID-19 crisis, they credit their donors and volunteers for their ability to continue delivering CASA’s mission.

“This is a shift for our organization,” said Ann Anderson, CASA’s Executive Director, “because usually we are trying to help clients get out of their homes, but safety is always key and it is always made possible by our volunteers and donors. Right now, keeping clients in their homes is safest, and deliveries are making this possible.”

CASA of Madison County has been delivering food and supplies to some of their more than 2,600 clients since this all began.  With the help of volunteers and donors more than 100 deliveries have been made since March 16th.  That number may double by the end of April.

Beth Sippel, Market President with Synovus Bank in Huntsville, explained why this opportunity was so important, “We are thankful for CASA of Madison County and their support of the aging and homebound in our community.  Our Synovus team wanted to help during this crisis, by delivering isolation bags of food and supplies to seniors in need.  We also supported our friends at Atlanta Bread Company to provide box lunches, a special treat for CASA clients.  I am proud of how our Synovus  team is committed to supporting this community-Here Matters!”
