2019 Presenting Sponsor
Our evening was absolutely darb! This sockdollager was the bees knees. We raised a lot of lettuce from our generous, hotsy-totsy guests. If you aren’t familiar with 1920s verbiage this means: “Our evening was absolutely splendid. This event of great importance was the best. We raised a lot of money from our generous, attractive guests.”
We were honored to have Torch Technologies as our 2019 Presenting Sponsor. David Cook, Vice President, accepted CASA’s token of appreciation and took a few minutes to address our guests about the importance of CASA’s mission and services. David presented an envelope of checks from Torch employees and challenged those in attendance to give generously.
We had a great night visiting the 1920s through costumes and enjoying the sounds of the times from Huntsville’s In the Mood Swing Band. Nancy Wills and Denny Cannon provided beautiful pre-dinner entertainment in the Conservatory. The critics were raving over the delicious meal prepared by Chef on Call Catering, with special thanks to COSTCO and Springer Mountain Farms for providing the meat and produce for the night’s meal.
Dan McClain, of the Josie and Dan Morning Show on 102.1 WDRM, was a real trooper jumping in to emcee the event with just a few days notice, as our original emcee was not able to be there. He did a great job keeping the night going and raising the much-needed funds for our services. He took on such a big job and did so with ease, and class!
During the night guests had opportunities to win some amazing prizes like a condo stay in Kissimmee, Florida donated by Conbar Properties, another condo stay in Destin, Florida donated by Catherine Boyle and Randy Humphries, a Springfield Armory 1911 Champion Operator purchased from Mr. Big Guns, and a Yeti Cooler with cold, hard clams (dollars) inside, donated by JoAnn Perez. The winners were announced throughout the night and we had some really happy winners.
